== General Info == Professional Engineers in California Government (PECG) represents 13,000 state-employed engineers and related professionals responsible for designing and inspecting California’s highways and bridges, ensuring that schools and hospitals are safe during earthquakes, and protecting our air, water and beaches. PECG has been representing the professional and employment interests of state employed engineers and related classifications for nearly 50 years. PECG represents members with grievances, arbitrations, and a variety of other claims and appeals. Leaders elected by PECG’s 13,000 members establish PECG’s policies. PECG is a volunteer organization assisted by professional negotiators, consultants, attorneys, and Sacramento lobbyists and is not affiliated with any organization or union. PECG maintains offices in Sacramento, San Francisco, and Los Angeles (Glendale) to service members in 17 geographical Sections. PECG offers members exclusive life, disability, and other insurance benefits at low cost group rates. In 2012, PECG will celebrate its 50th anniversary as an organization.
